Jubilee Gigs - Jazz Jurassica and Teignmouth 🎸

Hi folks,

Hope you're all good! Just a quick note to let you know what’s coming up this Jubilee bank holiday weekend…

Jazz Jurassica Festival starts this Thursday in Lyme Regis with 4 days of jazz, blues and soul, and I’m delighted to be back once again to host an afternoon of blues on Lyme’s stunning seafront on Friday 3rd June.

I’ll be kicking things off at 1pm with Paddy Blight (bass), Garry Kroll (drums) and Thomas Hughes (keys) before we welcome our special guests for the afternoon - Russell Sinclair at 2pm, Zoe Schwarz & Rob Koral at 3pm and Mick Taylor at 4pm. Paddy, Garry and Tom will feature in our rolling house band for the afternoon as well as Darren Crome (drums) and Adam Glanville (bass).

More info on the line-up for Friday as well info on the rest of the festival can be found at www.jazzjurassica.co.uk/fridays-blues-bender/

On Sunday 5th June I’ve been invited by my friends at Teign Jazz & Blues Club to play a solo acoustic set as part of their Jubilee weekend festivities, so you can catch me on The Den on Teignmouth seafront at 5:30pm.

Whatever you get up to this weekend I hope you have a good one and I look forward to catching up with some of you on the Dorset/Devon coast!

Enjoy!

Adam

Getting back out there with the band!

Hi folks,

Hope you’re all well. Sorry it’s been a while since my last mail-out. Thanks for sticking with me if you’re still here, and a very warm welcome to all the new subscribers!

I’m pleased to say things are looking up and I’m finally getting back out there with my band in the coming weeks...

First up is the Ropemakers in Bridport this Saturday. Then we’re back on the road the following weekend playing the Boarhunt Blues Club near Fareham on Friday 18th and the Broadstairs Blues Bash on Saturday 19th. Joining me on these gigs will be my very good mates Garry Kroll on drums and Paddy Blight on bass.

Then looking ahead to March I have the pleasure of playing two nights with the band at the Exeter Phoenix opening for our friends the Kris Barras Band.

Full info and ticket links for all the gigs can be found on my website at adamsweetmusic.com/shows

Lots more in the pipeline and more gigs are being added all the time, so keep checking in and I’ll do my best to keep you all updated a little more regularly than I have been.

See you at a gig soon I hope.

Best wishes,

Adam

Dead Flowers - new single out now!

Hi folks,

A quick note to let you know my new single 'Dead Flowers' is out today!

I recorded this Rolling Stones cover earlier this year after so many of you were requesting the song during my Facebook livestream shows. It was recorded at home in my little studio from where I was broadcasting those livestreams and it proved to be a perfect project to get stuck into during lockdown.

The track features my band Ian Jennings on bass and Garry Kroll on drums, with harmony vocals by the lovely Alex Hart. It was produced and mixed by myself and mastered by Jason Mitchell at Loud Mastering.

You can find the track in all the usual places including Spotify, Amazon and Apple Music via the following link distrokid.com/hyperfollow/adamsweet/dead-flowers

It's also available on Bandcamp at adamsweetmusic.bandcamp.com/track/dead-flowers

And of course you can get the track direct from my website as a choose-your-price download adamsweetmusic.com/music

I really hope you enjoy the new single. Thanks to all of you who have been streaming, downloading and sharing the track already today…your support is hugely appreciated!

Cheers!

Adam

Gig news and a new single coming soon!

Hi folks,

Hope you’re all keeping well. It’s been a while but I’m so pleased to say more gigs are starting to appear in the diary, so I wanted to let you know of a few full-band shows that are happening in the coming weeks…

This Sunday 18th July we’ll be at the Yarty Party Festival in Axminster, taking to the Big Top Stage around 3pm. Also playing in the Big Top on Sunday are our friends Pshcyadelephant, Ruby Cross and Jonah Hitchens. Day and weekend tickets are available – full details at yartyparty.co.uk

Thursday 29th July the Teign Jazz & Blues Club are once again hosting us for an evening show at the Old Commercial in Bishopsteignton. We had a great time here back in September, and this time we’ll be joined by our buddy Ian Briggs on harmonica. Tickets are available for £12 from the Old Commercial (01626 775285) and Regent Style, Teignmouth (01626 778858).

On Friday 6th August you can catch us at the Ocean City Blues n Jazz Festival in Plymouth. This is a free weekend-long festival taking place on the Barbican – we’ll be on stage at 5pm on the Friday evening.

In other news, I’m excited to say my new single ‘Dead Flowers’ is coming out on 30th July! After so many requests for this song during my livestream shows I decided to record a version at home – a little lockdown project that’s turned out rather nicely and is already starting to pick up some radio play. I’ll let you know more about it soon, but it’s available to pre-save for Spotify, Apple Music/iTunes and Amazon users now here

I must give a special mention to my friends at The Red Dress who I think you'll agree have done a wonderful job on the artwork.

Thanks for reading and I look forward to seeing some of you out there at one of these real gigs!!

All the best,

Adam

Happy New Year and thank you!

Happy New Year folks! Just wanted to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you for all the support this year.

It’s not been the year any of us had planned but I’m very grateful to have still been able to release a new album in 2020. Thanks to everyone who helped make this happen and especially to all of you who bought and streamed ‘Sink or Swim’. The response to the album has been wonderful and I hope one day soon we’ll be able to get back out there and perform it for you!

Talking of performances I also want to say a huge thanks to everyone who tuned into the live streams this year. Your generosity in supporting these has been incredible and it’s been a real lifeline in these tough times.

However you’re seeing in the new year I hope you have a good one…here’s to better times ahead and a more sociable 2021!

Best wishes,

Adam
